Narrative Statement
“I have always wanted to get a pet, but I never know the best way to go about it. I know that I can adopt from a rescue, but I’m terrified of rescue animals. What if the dog attacks my family? Will the dog ever warm up to me and feel safe? How will I learn their triggers? What happens if my family loves the dog but the trauma is difficult to get through? I know there are so many animals out there that need to be shown love and care, I’m just not sure if it is right for me.”
