The Menu

Restaurants have begun using QR codes for customers to scan on their phones to view menus since reopening after restrictions from COVID began to lift. When researching and gathering people’s thoughts, I found that people have a difficult time reading the menus on their phones, do not like having to pull their phones out at dinner, and some prefer looking at a PDF version of a menu rather than a scrollable interface.

The menu stand is designed to be placed at each table with a tablet. Customers can scroll on the tablet to view the menu, as well as scan the QR codes on the front and back to access the menu on their phones.

The menu includes the full dinner menu, a drinks menu, and a PDF version of the dinner menu.

The Bottles

A line of house beers and ciders was also created for this rebrand after learning Penn State alumni and parents enjoy going to The Tavern when they are up to visit. It is a fun place to socialize with friends and get out of the house, so creating these bottle labels presented the opportunity to expand the brand in a fun way.
